Newspaper Conference.
The Great Lakes Newspaper Mechanical
Conference, Inc. was organized in 1945.
The first general conference was held in
Cleveland, Ohio the same year, with
approximately 288 persons in attendance.
Member newspapers are from the states
of Kansas, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana,
Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri,
Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South
Dakota, Wisconsin and the provinces of Manitoba and Ontario, Canada. The conference was incorporated in November 1960. In 1982 the name was changed
to the Great Lakes/Midstates Newspaper Conference, Inc.
In 1983, the board of directors voted to accept into its membership all manufacturers and suppliers that serve the
newspaper industry. |
